SUMMARY:EVENT POSTPONED TBD ~ Hamilton: The Man\, the Musical\, & the Maestro who Made it Happen
DESCRIPTION:NOTE: Event Postponed TBD:  How did Hamilton\, the Musical influence a major U.S. Treasury Department decision in 2015?  When and why was Founding Father Alexander Hamilton’s legacy “buried” and how was it “uncovered” over 200 years later? How did a fledgling new nation become a global super-power so quickly? Why was the nation’s capitol moved from New York to a swamp near the Potomac River? Find the answers to these and other intriguing questions during this exclusive workshop at Wesley in Des Moines\, Washington.  Presenter Helena Reynolds was Washington State’s first member of the Alexander Hamilton Awareness Society and has presented Hamilton workshops and discussion groups since 2016. SUMMARY:Leave a Legacy of Love Workshop
DESCRIPTION:If your family has wanted to create a Legacy Project but you aren’t sure how to get started\, come hear tips and suggestions that may help you begin this exciting process. \nSee  two examples of Legacy DVD’s that happen to be 40th Anniversary projects  and a 40 foot wide life-story-in-print photo essay. \nThe first is about Helena’s parents\, Juan and Juanita Ansotigue’s World War II 5-year pen-pal romance\, marriage and subsequent challenges. This project was created in 1990 for their milestone anniversary but was also shown for Juan’s Celebration of Life when he passed away in 1997. Legacy Projects produced in advance allow families to avoid the stress of last-minute productions while in the midst of grieving. \nThe second highlight DVD was produced by Dave and Helena’s son and daughter\, Jason and Jana Reynolds of their first 40 years\, including their baseball passion. Entitled “Rising to a Dream” Helena affectionately refers to it as “Rise of the Fastball Across the Plate.” \nAll ages are welcome\, especially families.  There is no charge but pre-registration is highly suggested by calling (253) 856-5164.
